Melbourne University Chemical Society (MUCS)

The Melbourne University Chemical Society (MUCS) organises a lecture series each year that encompasses all aspects of chemistry. Speakers are drawn from the School, the wider University community, other Australian and overseas universities and industry. The lecture series includes annual Memorial Lectures for former staff members Don Stranks and Geoff Feutrill. In addition, in alternate years MUCS presents the Lady Masson Memorial Lectures jointly with the University. MUCS has held meetings every year since its inception in 1903.

Throughout the academic year we hold seminars with guest speakers and various other events. 2009 Lecture Program (all lectures at 4:15pm in the Cuming Theatre).

Undergraduate Student Membership:

In 2009 MUCS will continue to offer a membership to undergraduate students. For just $10 you will be able to attend a series of lectures and have an opportunity to meet the speaker over a complimentary drink. In addition, we will be having special student MUCS lectures at lunchtimes (2 per semester).
