CAL Lab

All chemistry subjects have an associated webpage, where resources such as lecture notes, tutorial problems and course notices are published.   These can be found in the course & subjects section of the site. In our first year subjects especially, interactive resources, such as tutorials on specific topics and online prelabs that must be completed before each experiment (with interactive questions and animations) are an integrated aspect of our students' learning. Over a million pages of interactive content are downloaded to students each year.

Many students use these resources from their homes or via other computers, at times convenient to them. The School also operates a 40 station Computer Aided Learning (CAL) laboratory for students' use. The CAL lab is also used for online feedback and progress tests during the semester.

The CAL lab is located on the first floor of the Chemistry building (room 192). It is open from 9am to 5pm each day of semester throughout the academic calendar.
