The School of Chemistry libraryThe School of Chemistry's library is located in the East Wing of
the Chemistry Building on the University's Parkville campus. A map
of the locations of the University's library branches is available.
The library is a branch of the University's main
library, which is a part of the University's Information Division.
ResourcesA full listing of the library's key resources is available. The library has many useful tools including links to data sources,
such as finding properties of materials, including the density, melting
point or toxicity of a compound. A list of these data
sources is available.

StaffThe library staff, Kathryn Saxton and Zdena Schwangmeier, are available
to support you in your studies, teaching and research. They endeavour
to maintain journal and book collections relevant and adequate to the
teaching and research interests of the School of Chemistry staff and
students. They also provide access to the most essential research databases.
ServicesOne of the most important library services is to assist with the
location and use of available resources. If you need help with using
the library facilities or would like to arrange a personal consultation,
please contact Zdena by telephone on 03 8344 6479 or by email at zdena@unimelb.edu.au.
Certain books can be placed on reserve. If you would like to place
a book on reserve, please send an email to Zdena at zdena@unimelb.edu.au
or Kathryn at ksaxton@unimelb.edu.au,
including the details of the book and the number of the course you are
undertaking.
If you would like to recommend that the library purchase a specific
book or resource, please email the details to Zdena at zdena@unimelb.edu.au.
Business hoursThe Chemistry library is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.15 pm and is closed Saturday and Sunday.
