Australian Participation in Synchrotron Sciences

Objectives of the Australian Synchrotron Sciences Network:

  • To build awareness in the Australian research community of the new opportunities for research that the Australian Synchrotron will offer as a national research facility
  • To form a vibrant, diverse, and coherent national community of current and potential Australian Synchrotron users prior to the launch of the facility in 2007
  • To identify and facilitate fruitful national and international collaborations across institutions and disciplines
  • To put in place a forum for current and potential users to contribute to the configuration of the facility and the scientific program as they evolve
  • To disseminate information regarding the progress and achievements of synchrotron-based science in Australia, and to conduct workshops and symposia on emerging synchrotron science topics.
