Summer Research Studentships

The School of Chemistry is now calling for applications for our Summer Research Studentship program.

Various members of the School of Chemistry will offer summer research studentships to second and third year students expected to major in chemistry in 2009 and 2010.

Details of the staff offering summer research studentships are listed below along with the projects they are offering. Applicants may nominate up to 3 prospective projects/supervisors.

These projects will be for a minimum of 6 weeks but may be extended depending on the individual research groups offering the projects.

The value of the studentships will be $300 per week.

Studentships must be undertaken between November 2009 and early February 2010 however exact dates should be agreed on by the student and the supervisor.

Applications are open to current University of Melbourne undergraduate students as well as Australian resident undergraduate students completing a chemistry major in 2009 or 2010.

Students wishing to apply should use the application form below. Please ensure that students who are not University of Melbourne students enclose a copy of their academic transcript.

Please note that the closing date for lodging applications is Friday 23rd October 2009. Students will be advised as to the outcome of their application in the form of a letter or email by Friday 30th October 2009.
